Quality is important to our business, because we value our customers. Howard employees
understand the critical nature of the electrical power products we build and fully appreciate
the importance of safety, reliability, and durability to our customers. We use the ISO 9001
quality system as a foundation to provide a work environment that will promote learning,
team involvement and continuous improvement, and we strive to provide our customers with
products and services that meet and even exceed their expectations.
We are committed
to continuous improvement and have established a quality management system
that provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance. Our comprehensive
quality management system addresses all aspects of product quality including quotations,
order entry, product design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, inspection and delivery.
Our Quality Assurance Laboratory performs compliance testing on raw materials and
component parts, and also provides calibration services and continuous sample testing
to validate processes such as welding and painting.
Throughout the manufacturing process all of our products are thoroughly inspected
and tested. Products are electronically tracked to ensure that all required inspections
and tests have been performed and successfully passed.
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015,
the most stringent and comprehensive in the ISO 9000 series of
international quality standards.
